Adrian 'Adee' McCovy is an American comedian, actor, producer and host. He was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles in the city of Watts, California at the Nickerson Gardens. Despite being raised in one of the toughest neighborhoods in South Los Angeles, he graduated high school, and then went on to college. He received his AA degree from La Verne University.
Adee always had a love for comedy. His uncles told him knock, knock, jokes, or just funny stories. He was a real practical joker, and was not afraid to play “The Dozens” with kids or 'Your Momma' jokes. This was part of growing up in the streets of South Los Angeles. Everyone in the neighborhood eventually knew him as 'Funny', a nickname given to him by his Uncle Wayne. Adee's comedy derives as life as a child in South Central Los Angeles and his life experiences.
Adee has also played an important role in bringing live standup comedy to the Inland Empire and the High Desert in California. He is founder of OMG Comedy, Comedy Street, Comedy Thursday’s, Adee’s Comedy House, and the Laff Lounge. He is currently producing Comedy Street in Corona, CA, Comedy Thursday’s in Riverside, CA, and Adee’s Comedy House in Palmdale, CA. In addition, Adee is involved with helping non-profits raise funds for their organizations such as Help for Brain Injured Children, Angels Nest Transitional Living Program, Brainstorming4us, PopWarner Football, Junior Basketball, and Fremont High School Alumni Foundation.
Adee has performed on stage at Improv Comedy Clubs, Laugh Factory Comedy Club, Jazzbones, Cobb’s Comedy Club, Rio Las Vegas, Uptown Comedy Club in Atlanta and many more.
Adee is a versatile entertainer who can connect with diverse audiences of all ages. His passion for comedy continues as he embarks on his career as a comedian, actor, and host.
